Electromagnets basics

■ Any electric circuit produces a magnetic field.

■ NOTE: none of the materials in the circuit are magnetic
materials.

■ The iron core acts as a secondary magnet. It becomes a

temporary magnet inside the solenoid due to magnetic
induction.
