HISTORY OF MI KRISHNA

Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Kresna was founded in 1963 by Mlilir Muslims among Nahdatul
Ulama' residents. The establishment of this educational institution originated from the
desire to have an educational institution at the basic level with Islamic nuances for their
children. At the same time it can be used as a medium for the development of Islam in
society. The founding figures were Mr. H.Siradj Baedlowi, Mr. H.Sofyan Askandi, Mr. KH
Tohir Yasin, Mr. K.Abudaris, H.Abdul Wahab, Mr. Moechtar Asy'ari and Mr. Mudja'i
Sofyan who all live in Mlilir. Of these figures, only Mr. Moechtar Asy'ari is still alive
today.

The name "Krishna" itself is actually an abbreviation or acronym. The extension is Train
Until Nirvana. The intention is as a vehicle for struggle with Muslims and a vehicle that
will carry their sons and daughters. And if Kresna is referred to as the incarnation of
Vishnu, it also implies that MI Kresna is also the incarnation or incarnation of Vishnu, it
also means that MI KRESNA is also an incarnation of Wisnu's ideals which stands for
Nahdatul Ulama Islamic Citizen'.
