A sentence must have a subject and a predicate
to be considered a sentence. Study the example below.

The underlined part in the sentence above is its subject. It is who is being talked about in the sentence. The boxed words completed a sentence, just like the example below.
Run! ● The example above is an imperative sentence. It has an invisible subject You. It has a complete thought because it has a subject (You) and a predicate (run). But when a group of works does not have a subject or a predicate, it does not have a complete thought, such as in the example below.
