PURPOSE & SCOPE OF THE DOCUMENT
 The purpose of the project is to analyze European market sales and it’s profits.
 This project helps us to visualize the sales data of different products and its
subcategories at different regions.
 This project will help to save time , to visualize and understand the data
thoroughly.
ABOUT THE SOFTWARE

 Tableau is a fastly growing and powerful data visualization tool. Tableau is a business
intelligence tool which helps us to analyze the raw data in the form of the visual
manner; it may be a graph, report, etc.
 It is a self service bi tool, it can connect to 50 different data sources.
 Tableau provides a drag-n-drop facility to quickly let the users interact with the data.
You can check some of the templates created using tableau in the tableau gallery.
 With Tableau’s gallery of templates, you can choose your option and customize it. With
data visualization features, you can easily embed tons of information in the form of
infographics that appeals to the audience.
 It can run on all operating systems.
SCOPE OF THE PROJECT
 Themain objective of carrying out this analysis is to
find out the reasons behind performance of
supermarkets and ways through which super market
managers can increase their sales through effective
marketing strategy.

Sales and Profit per Order Date Year

This is a dynamic bar chart where measure can be changed from profit to sales and
vice versa. Each color and size of each bar represents the measure. Each bar
represents the dimension.
Sales Per Customer and Sales Forecast By Ship Date Year

This charts compares two different measures, the blue bars are sales
forecast and the orange area represents the sales per customer.
Dimension is Year of the Ship Date.
Sales By Order Quarter

The color and slices of the pie chart represents the dimension Quarter of
Order Date and the size of the each slices represents the sales.
Sales By Order Month

This line chart represents the sales of each year over the months.

This Scatter plot represents the relationship Sales and Profit, where
size of the bubble represents the number of units

Stacked Bar chart shows the sales of top 5 countries in respective

This Tree map explains the profit of Top 10 product as per product
hierarchy. Size and color of each rectangle represents profit.

This chart shows values across multiple stages. The size of each
segment represents sales in each region.

mode and the size of the each segment represents the profit.

Gantt chart represents the distribution of estimated units of sub


category shipped over the years through different modes over the
years.
