Kurt Lewin
• German-American psychologist
• Known as the modern pioneers of social, applied psychology.

• Recognized as the "founder of a social psychology

• first to study group dynamics and organizational development .

• Kurt Lewin left Germany as the Nazis consolidated their


power.

• He adapted and applied the Gestalt

perspective to personality theory and social dynamics and


called it "Field Theory."

• He was also responsible for the founding of the National


Training Laboratories in Bethe Maine, best known for
"sensitivity training" for corporate leaders.
