     In the UAE, approximately 8,000 to 10,000 patients suffer a stroke per year.
     Fifty per cent of the stroke patients in the UAE are below the age of 45 years.
    compared to the global average, where 80 per cent of stroke patients are above the
    age of 65 years.
     In the UAE, stroke is the second leading cause of disability, after road accidents.
