 A self –checkup
Look for signs like:
.Experiencing low energy
.Mild feelings of resentment
toward peers or feeling
burdened by certain peer.

3 E’s:
(for self care)
Create and pay ongoing
attention to the balance
in your life — balance
between work and play,
giving and receiving,
accomplishing tasks
and doing nothing.
 Find a sounding board.
 Maintain a folder of thank-
you notes and success stories
from work with clients.
It is a good
practice to say,
“I need help”
Shedding the day:
 Sorting things that help us separate our role as peer
facilitator from our home life.

 Make a list of activities you enjoy doing and then to be


deliberate about incorporating enough of those activities into
our daily lives

 Never underestimate the power of a restful eight hours of


sleep, exercise and good nutrition

 Always practice with the safety net of recharging and


reenergizing self-care practices
