Remember!
> Etymologically, research came from “re”
and “search”. "Re" is a prefix that means
again and search is a word which means
to look for. Therefore, research is to look
for something (Chapman 1979).
26
Remember!
> There are two (2) things that we need to
take note of in this definition. First,
research is not only about the discovery
of something unknown, it is coming up
with a new explanation of something that
is known.
> Second, research is a process. It is a
process of searching for something to
solve an existing problem or difficulty to
27
solve.
Examples:
solving the percentage of
Dropouts of AMLHS National
HS. You need to go through a
process of inquiry in solving a
problem. Of the processes you
have to undergo is the
tabulation and statistics part.
You have to solve a problem
using a formula. Either using
a Mean, Median, Mode and
etc.
28
Examples:
Promoting the
Development of
Vaccine for Covid-19
virus. With the power
of technology
research products and
outputs can be
promoted easily.
29
Examples:
History of facts
regarding the existence
of virus and how to
defeat it by the
information from the
past or history. These
could be the things in the
past that can help us
solve or deal with the
problem through
30research.
Examples:
Writing a one to two
paragraphs (short Essay)
about the results or data
gathered from the
respondents. The
paragraph should be
written in future tense
and with a minimum of
200 words.
