CLASS ROOM

EVACUATION PLAN
“HAVING A WELL-PREPARED
EVACUATION PLAN IS
CRITICAL IN THE EVENT OF A
FIRE IN THE CLASS ROOM”
PRE-EVACUATION
refers to the actions taken before an emergency situation occurs
to help ensure a safe and efficient evacuation. This includes
developing and implementing an evacuation plan, identifying
potential hazards and risks in a building or area, ensuring that
all exits and evacuation routes are clearly marked and
unobstructed, conducting regular evacuation drills and training
for occupants, and maintaining emergency equipment in good
working order. Pre-evacuation measures also include
establishing communication protocols to notify occupants of an
emergency, identifying individuals who may require special
assistance during an evacuation, and addressing any other
factors that may impact the safe and efficient evacuation of a
building or area.
EVACUATION
refers to the actual process of leaving a building or
area during an emergency. This may involve quickly
and safely moving occupants out of harm's way
using designated evacuation routes and exits. During
an evacuation, it is essential to remain calm, follow
the evacuation plan, and avoid panic, which can
impede the evacuation process.
POST-EVACUATION
Post-evacuation: Post-evacuation refers to the actions
taken after an emergency situation to ensure the safety of
occupants and to address any damage or issues resulting
from the emergency. This includes conducting a headcount
to ensure all occupants have evacuated safely, providing
medical attention to anyone injured during the emergency,
assessing the extent of the damage to the building or area,
and implementing any necessary measures to prevent
further damage or harm. Post-evacuation measures also
include providing support and assistance to occupants as
needed, such as finding temporary shelter or arranging
transportation.
