AUDIO:
In my community, figures have been built based on meshes so
that they dispose of plastic bottles and also for cardboard. In
schools there are no mandatory recycling rules, however,
teachers use techniques to make recycling an option for
children. At home, because we are many sisters, we recycle
many things between us "what one no longer wants, the other
takes." As a chemical engineering student, I collect all the used
sheets, notebooks and cardboard that I find and take it to a
collection center because there are no centers nearby, I only go
once a year.

WRITING:

Lucas: Hi Kevin, I visited you yesterday but you weren't home. Where were you?

Kevin: Oh, I wasn't home. You see, I visited the girls a few days ago and they invited me to an event called "Trash for treasure", it's
about exchanging your things that you no longer need for those that other people no longer need.

Lucas: Wow! that sounds really interesting, did you go yesterday? How did you know what to dispose of your things?

Kevin: Yes, the event was yesterday. Well, you know I'm a very sticky person, and I think the hardest part was choosing what to
throw away, however, I found some shirts and outfits that I really wouldn't wear again because my complexion has changed, So I
looked for everything that I no longer had left and I took it.

Lucas: I understand. And did you get something useful in exchange for your things?

Kevin: Really yes, in exchange for my things I got a vending machine for chips, it was a little faded but I already fixed it and it
looks great. I'll put it near the park and make a profit or that's the idea.

Lucas: That's amazing! Wow, you did find something really useful. Next time there is one, invite me!

Kevin: Sure! Now, I will be one of the regular attendees of that event.

AUDIO:

Hello Odalys. Hey, I just found out that there will be a workshop and it will be interesting, I
would like you to go with me. This workshop is very your type, it is a workshop in which they
will teach you how to create mosaics for chandeliers, coasters and mural arts, and the most
interesting thing is that everything will be with recycled materials. Of course, you must bring
the materials you want to work with, such as: glass, ceramics that you no longer need,
buttons, beads, etc. The workshop will be on Monday, June 8 at the Sustainable Art Center
and will start at 10 am. The workshop will be taught by Jackie Douglas, she is an artist who
has been creating recycled masterpieces for several years.
Lesson 3
WRITING:

The speaker tells us about three different topics that are linked to each other and have in common that they are waste.

Recycling is a technique in which the reuse of materials that have already been discarded once is used and given a second use,
however, the transformation of these consumes certain natural resources. For example: Aluminum cans are put together and melted
down to reuse the aluminum to create new objects. It is beneficial because we reduce garbage and therefore contamination,
especially of the soil, since when aluminum oxidizes, it releases oxides that are very toxic to the soil.

Upcycling is a method in which recycled materials are used to create a new product, this new material can have the same value as
when it was considered "garbage" or it can have an even higher value than that, this depends on the utility in which it is used. For
example: I knew someone who, with Sabritas wrappers, made handbags or purses and sold them at a very good price.

Downcycling is a method in which materials are reused, however, it only extends the period of time in which it will finally be disposed
of at garbage centers, for example: all types of textiles fall into this category, due to that neither clothes (towels, rags, curtains) nor
shoes deteriorate, the only option is to use them as much as possible.

The advantage of upcycling and downcycling is that they do not require natural resources to put into practice.

I would like to make an animated film about the elaboration of additives and how they incredibly damage the body, it would be a short
film since, as it is a health issue for many, it becomes boring. It would be of the documentary category, because I would have to Lesson 2
investigate a lot to be able to transmit viable information.

If I had the opportunity to work in the film industry I would like to be a costume assistant, this is because I like to support people before an event
so that they look good, it makes me think that in some way I am necessary in my I work and I love seeing the various outfits that the actors can
Lesson 1
wear, especially since everything looks so good on them no matter how weird the outfit might be. The most wonderful thing is to finally be able
to see all the effort of the set, making one more achievement on stage. Personally, I would not like to work with the sound mixes, since I think it
would be a bit annoying to be listening to the same dialogues constantly. Still, I think it is a job that should be overrated in the film industry.

For: International Film School
I am hereby communicating with you because I am interested in applying to
TIFS. For a long time, I became interested in the film industry, mainly in the
documentary filmmaking program and this is because I have dedicated
myself to researching various topics, which I consider really important for
human life, however, the greatest Part of the population is unaware of these
issues. I am very interested in studying in Burbank, California. But I have
some doubts that I would like to be clarified: What is the semester fee that I
must pay? Do I need to have any special feature to make documentaries?
When will classes start? Specifically, where are the other Campuses?
Thank you for your time, I look forward to your answers soon.

Writing: Lesson 3
Mainly, although it is contrary to the idea that marks the activity, I consider
that technology does not affect the film industry, since making films with
celluloid ultimately polluted the planet too much due to the various uses of
chemicals apart from the preparation process was too long.

Regarding the activity: Due to technology, great and surprising changes have
been seen in the film industry, this is because thanks to technology today it
is possible to record from our own cell phones, so that we capture moments
that we can later relive through the videos. To this let's add that the expense
in the process of making digital movies has been reduced and in the same
way the editing time of the same is reduced. Apart from the fact that they
use SD storage cards and in case these become full, they can simply be
emptied and used again, which was not possible with rolls. As I mentioned it
is quite beneficial to use digital technology in many aspects and this is why it
is so popular and most filmmakers have started to use it. However, not
everyone agrees with the use of technology and they firmly support their
ideology of traditional film making, this is because they are more familiar
with this form of production and have better exposure to light, even better
than digital, so there are effects that digitization has not been able to
achieve.
Final proyect (video)
You are all cordially invited to an event that I have called "recycling day" why? Well, as we can well see
today, humanity discards waste in large quantities, which are still useful if we recycle them. In this event the
idea is to teach them recycling techniques so that they become habits.

The event will take place in the central park of the municipality of Reforma, Chiapas. It will be on Friday,
March 18 of the current year; It will start at 9:00 a.m. and end at 6:00 p.m. The event will be open to the
public except for babies, children from 4 years old can attend. This is because there will be lectures and we
need as much attention as possible. There will also be game workshops for children, with recycling
themes. treasure exchanges and of course we will also have a waste deposit in case you want to support
by taking more waste to our center.

Of course, there will be a fee to be part of the event, the entrance fee will be 2 plastic bottles per person,
with their respective caps. We will have food and beverage centers and these will have their respective
fees (keep in mind that all fees are for recycled materials), however, you must bring your refractory or glass
(not disposable materials).
