Cloud watch

Create an Amazon linux ec2 instance.

Click on the the instance.In the monitoring select the cpu
utilization and select the view in metrics.
On left side click on alaram and select inalaram.
Click on create alaram
Then click on select metric and select EC2 ,then select pre-
instance metrics.
Then select the instance with cpu utilization and click on select
metric.
Then enter the period value and threshold value and click on
next.
Then select the create new topic and name it ,after that enter
the email address and click on create topic.
Check the mail for AWS notifiaction and subscribe it.
Add the alaram name in the preview click on next.
In the preview go to bottom and click on create alaram.
Then view the alaram.
Connect the ec2 instance and use the commnads to increase
stress on cpu
-> sudo yum install stress
->stress –cpu 1
Goto the cloud watch and refresh it then your will alarm email
regarding cpu utilization.
