Politics is the way that people living

in groups make decisions. Politics is
about making agreements between
people so that they can live together
in groups such as tribes, cities, or
countries. In large groups, such as
countries, some people may spend a
lot of their time making such
agreements.

between societies, whereby people go about

of human, natural and other resources in the

their biological and social life.

 in government. Politicians propose, support,
and create laws or policies that govern the land

achieve political power in any bureaucratic
 institution or organization.

especially in party politics. Positions range from
local offices to executive, legislative, and
judicial offices of regional and national
governments. Some elected law enforcement
officers, such as sheriffs, are considered
politicians.
