LESSON OBJECTIVES:

 Define and illustrate the ff. pairs of angles:

adjacent angles, complementary angles,
supplementary angles, linear pair, and vertical
angles.
 Determine the measure of the angles marked
with letters.
Pairs of angles
Angle pairs are sometimes classified not
by their measures but by their positions
relative to each other. They are called
angle pairs because they always appear
as two angles working together to display
geometrical property.
Pairs of angles
Pairs of angles include adjacent
angles, complementary angles,
supplementary angles, linear pair,
and vertical angles.
Adjacent angles
Adjacent angles are two angles in a plane which
have a common vertex and a common side but no
common interior points.

complementary angles
Complementary angles are two angles whose sum
is 90°. Two angles are said complementary if they
are adjacent and forms a right angle.
