Kevin Systrom introduced Instagram, a social
networking platform for sharing images and
videos.

The Instagram app was launched on Oct. 6,


2010, and racked up 25,000 users in one day.

Burbn, a web application that served as the


initial version of Instagram, was motivated by
Systrom's passion for premium bourbons and
whiskeys.
