EXPLORING THE PERCEPTIONS OF HUFLIS
LECTURERS AND STUDENTS OF CHALLENGES IN
THE TEACHING AND LEARNING OF
VIETNAMESE - ENGLISH TRANSLATION
Why this research?
- As students who have only recently begun the practice of translation,
we have met numerous challenges while translating Vietnamese-English
- Furthermore, as far as we know, several universities in Vietnam have
conducted research on this topic, but the university in Hue has not.
- In addition, our group wants to compare this year's findings to past
studies' results to determine whether there is a difference or not.
Research aims
- To explore the difficulties that students at HUFLIS encounter when
performing the Vietnamese - English translation. 

- To discover the challenges that lecturers at HUFLIS have when teaching


Vietnamese-English translation.

- To learn about some of their personal methods for overcoming obstacles in


learning and teaching Vietnamese - English translation.

What are the challenges that EFL students at HUFLIS have when learning
Vietnamese-English translation?

What challenges do EFL lecturers at HUFLIS encounter when teaching
Vietnamese- English translation?
Question 3
What are the individual strategies used by HUFLIS students and
lecturers to overcome challenges in studying and teaching
Vietnamese-English translation?
