Using the GTC

Accommodation Portal
A step by step guide
LOGGING IN
If you have already completed the
First Time Login step, Login with
the same email address you used
and the password that you created.

If you already have SSO credentials,


please use the Login with Single
Sign-On (SSO).
HOME SCREEN
When you reach this screen, click
on Accommodation Application
which is on the blue bar at the top
of the page.
TERM SESSIONS
Academic Year 22/23 – RAC Flats 1-12
Choose this option if you would like to book Flats 1-12 at Rewley
Abbey Court. These flats were all refurbished last summer and
have a licence period from 23rd September 2022 – 10th September
2023.

Academic Year 22/23 – RAC Flats 13-24


Choose this option if you would like to book Flats 13-24 at Rewley
Abbey Court. These flats will all be refurbished this summer and
have a licence period from 1st October 2022 – 10th September
2023.

Academic Year 22/23


Choose this option if you would like to book Flats 25-47 at RAC
and all other college accommodation including 5, 33, 34, 38 and
39 St Margaret’s Road, Doll Building, Lord Napier House, New
Block, Observer’s House and Walton Building.
The licence period is from 1st October 2022 – 10th September
2023.
INITIAL SELECTION
If you chose one of the first 2
options on the previous screen, it
will immediately list all the rooms
and flats available.

If you chose the 3rd option, you will


be asked to Select the location
where you would like to book a
room.
ROOM LIST Once you have selected a location, you will see a list of
all the rooms available at that location.

For each room, you will see a floor plan, the rent per
month and the room type.

Room Types
The Room Bands will refer to the room size:

• Band A – less than 13 sq m


• Band B – 13 – 16.99 sq m
• Band C – 17 – 20.99 sq m
• Band D – 21 sq m or more

All rooms in Bands A and B will have single beds. All


rooms in Bands C and D will have double beds.

In the Room Type description, Double refers to Double


Occupancy so these rooms can be booked by a couple.

For further information on the room, you can click Show


Room Info.
ROOM INFORMATION
If you clicked on Show Room Info,
you will see a larger floor plan and
some of the room attributes
CONFIRMATION
Once you have selected the room
you like, click Add to Cart on the
Room List Screen.

You will see a confirmation of the


room you have booked.

Click Save & Continue.


PERSONAL INFORMATION
In the next screen you will be asked
to provide your address and a
phone number.

Under Scholarship Information, you


can tick the box if you have a
scholarship. You will need to fill in
the amount and a description of
the scholarship.

IMPORTANT: If you tick this box,


you will not be asked to pay the
£500 deposit during the booking
process. You will be allowed to pay
the deposit at a later stage, once
you have received your funding.

If you have a scholarship but would


prefer to make the deposit
payment straight away, please do
not tick this box.
LICENCE TO OCCUPY
You will then be asked to digitally
sign your Licence to Occupy by
ticking the box I agree I have read
and understood this.

You will have the option to print or


save a copy of the document.

Once done, click Save & Continue.


ACCEPTANCE FORM
Next, you will need to digitally sign
your Accommodation Acceptance
Form by ticking the box I agree I
have read and understood this.

You will have the option to print


this document. You will also
receive an email copy of what you
have signed.

Once done, click Save & Continue.


BOOKING SUMMARY
On the next page, you will see a
summary of your booking and the
deposit that needs to be paid.

If you are ready to pay the deposit,


please click Pay Now. If not, you
have 28 days to log back into your
account and pay the deposit. Any
deposit which remains unpaid 28
days are the booking was made will
result in the booking getting
automatically cancelled and the
room becoming available on the
portal for other students to book.
DEPOSIT PAYMENT

If you clicked Pay Now, you will be


taken to the next page to make
your payment.

Once you have paid, your booking


will be marked as Reserved on our
system.
