Key learning Types of carbohydrates
There two types of carbohydrates: sugars and starches.
Sugars are simple carbohydrates like:
fruit or yoghurt
sweets and white sugars
your body digests and uses these quickly.
Starches are complex carbohydrates

it takes your body longer to digest
These foods also supply other nutrients and something called
fibre. Fibre helps your digestion and makes you feel full.
