now it is important to know why a priority for El jadida factory in fact for the MENA area as you
can see is about 2,4% concerning co 2 emission and within mena area El jadida is the biggest
contributor in terms of energy consumption and cost. so we are all aware for this impact

So, our journey to the net zero started indeed in 2016 where we hosted A Very Interesting meeting wich is energy target
setting, the 2nd step is in 2018 by the acquisition of the reverse osmosis , in 2019 the liquified petroleum gas the idea is to
change the fuel by a gas less polluting which is propane the equipment is already installed we are just waiting for the state
authorization and also the solar energy phase 1 that we launched last February, in 2020 the second reverse osmosis project
whose role is to reuse the discharge of the 1st reverse osmosis especially for the boiler room, plus the coffee evaporator
recirculation project it is a question of developing the performance of the evaporator what is more in 2021 we changed the
ejectors by vacuum pumps in order to minimize the water consumption of the evaporator, then the 100% reuse of cow water
in cooling towers instead of reverse osmosis water, and we have also the heat recovery from the extraction final cooler.
regarding our plans for 2022 we are in the final phase of acquiring a new chiller which we have demanded a heat recovery
included, then the solar project phase 2 for this project there are two options either we invest, or we buy electricity from a
supplier who has invested in solar energy, and also we have the installation of a dissolved air flotation to improve the
performance of our wastewater treatment plant for the same purpose we find in 2023 the waste water recycle project by the
installation of a whole system to reuse wastewater in the process, and also the biomass boiler the idea is to use a boiler that
uses the coffee and olive ground instead of fuel, also there are several ideas which I will detail at the end of this presentation

Now let’s see the details of each project starting with the first project the first reverse
osmosis with an investment of 750 KUSD we were able to save 38000 m3 coming
manly from the boiler because we have developed the water quality, so we reduced
the boiler blowdown which generated us a saving of 230 kUSD/y and a 1060 T of co2
reduction

The second project is the coffee evaporator recirculation with this project we
were able to decrease the frequency of cip and water raise by improving the
performance of liquid load in each effect what generated us a 5000 m3 of
water saving a co2 reduction of 850 t and a yearly saving of 350 KUSD

For the second reverse osmosis that we have istalled two months ago with a flow
of 4 m3/h that we obtain by the reuse of the rejection of the first reverse osmosis
that we use essentially for the boiler room what generated us a 23000 m3 of
water saving and a yearly saving of 55 KUSD

Now let’s move into the first and the biggest private photovoltaic station in el
jadida region with this station we will cover 14% of our electrical consumption
with a yearly electrical production of 1.7 gwh which will reduce co2 emissions by
a 1146 T AND A YEARLY SAVING OF 430 KUSD

For the fuel conversion to liquefied petrolieum gas as i say before all the equipement are delivered
and installed we are just waiting for the state autorosittion this project this project will allow us to
reduce the CO2 emission by 3’700 t and yearly saving of 460 KUSD

For the coffee evaporator vaccum pumps this is the second phase in improving the
performance of the coffee evaporator with an investment of 150 kusd and it will
generate us a water saving of 5470 m3 a co2 reduction of 664 t and yearly saving
of 102 kusd

For the reuse of 100% of cow water in the cooling tower as you can see the under-ground basin is already
built the pipeling is ongoing we expect to finsh next month it will generated us a water saving of 4900 m3 and
a yearly saving of 73, 5 kusd

Concerning the coffee final cooler the idea is to recover the heat from the cofee extract in the last
step in extraction area to heat water used in the coffee process the installation is ongoing and we
expect first jully will be done, this project allow us a water saving of 1146 m3 co2 reduction of 660
T and a yearly saving of 57 kusd

For the new chiller heat recovery project this project is still in the supplier choise phase because we required
an option to recover the heat released during the compressor oil cooling to heat a 5.5 m3/h of water flow this
system will allow us a energy saving of 100 kw and a co2 reduction of 220 T and a yearly saving of 36 kusd
