INTRODUCTION

• A radar system is a technology that uses radio waves or

electromagnetic waves to detect and locate objects.
• It is commonly used in aviation, military, and navigation
applications. In this project, we will use an Arduino UNO and an
ultrasonic sensor to create a simple radar system.
• The Arduino UNO is a popular microcontroller board that is used
to build electronic projects.
• An ultrasonic sensor is an instrument that measures the distance to
an object using ultrasonic sound waves.
MOTIVATION
• The main motivation of this is to provide a low-cost solution for those who want
to learn about radar systems and its practical applications.
• The project offers a simple yet effective way of demonstrating how radar works
and how it can be implemented using basic electronic components.
• By combining Arduino UNO and ultrasonic sensor , we can create a basic radar
system that can detect and locate objects within a certain range.
• This project can be used as a starting point for more advanced radar projects,
such as Doppler radar or phased array radar.
• Building a radar system using Arduino UNO and ultrasonic sensor can be a fun
and rewarding project for those who enjoy tinkering with electronics and
programming. It can also be used as a teaching tool for students who are
interested in learning about electronics, programming, and radar technology.
EXISTING SYSTEM

• Some of the existing systems are:

1. Phased Array Radar: This is an advanced radar system that uses an array
of antennas to scan and detect objects.
2. Doppler Radar: This radar system uses the Doppler effect to detect
moving objects.
3. Pulse Radar: This radar system sends out short pulses of
electromagnetic waves and measures the time it takes for the waves to
bounce back from an object
4. Continuous Wave Radar: This radar system uses a continuous wave
signal to detect objects.
LITERATURE SURVEY

guide on how to build a radar system using Arduino UNO, ultrasonic sensor,
and servo motor. It includes instructions on how to assemble the hardware,
write the code, and calibrate the system.
• "Arduino Radar System: Step by Step Guide" by Anirudh Murali: This
tutorial provides a comprehensive guide on how to build a radar system using
Arduino UNO, ultrasonic sensor, and servo motor. It includes instructions on
how to set up the hardware, write the code, and test the system.
PROPOSED SYSTEM
• The proposed system is a radar system using Arduino UNO and ultrasonic sensor
that can detect and locate objects within a certain range. The system will use an
ultrasonic sensor to send out high-frequency sound waves and measure the time
it takes for the waves to bounce back from an object. By calculating the distance
between the sensor and the object, the system can determine the location of the
object.
• The system will also include a visual display that shows the distance and angle
of detected objects. This display can be a simple LED or a more advanced
display such as an LCD screen.
• The proposed system is a low-cost and accessible solution for those who want to
learn about radar systems and its practical applications. It can be used for
educational purposes or as a starting point for more advanced radar projects.
OBJECTIVES
• To design a low-cost and accessible radar system that can detect and locate
objects within a certain range.
• To provide a platform for learning about radar systems and its practical
applications.
• To develop skills in electronics, programming, and radar technology.
• To implement a simple and easy-to-use user interface that displays the distance
and angle of detected objects.
• To demonstrate the capabilities of the system by detecting and locating objects
in different directions and distances.
• To encourage experimentation and customization by providing an open-source
design that can be modified and adapted for different applications.
SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE
