Working of project

The ultrasonic sensor continuously sends out ultrasonic waves.

When a person approaches the system, their body reflects the sound waves back to the sensor.

The sensor calculates the time it takes for the waves to return and converts it into a distance measurement.

If the measured distance is within a specified range the sensor triggers an event.

This event can activate the LED to indicate that someone is near the system and trigger the buzzer to create an audible alert.

The buzzer keeps ringing as long as the person remains within the specified range of the sensor.

You can power the entire setup using the adapter and data cable.
• Arduino :-

Physical hardware boards equipped with microcontrollers and various

input/output pins.

They come in different sizes and configurations.

Commonly used in a wide range of applications, including robotics,

home automation, wearable technology, art installations, and more.

One of the key features of Arduino is its ability to interface with

various sensors, display devices, motors, and other components.
Led:-

• An LED (Light Emitting Diode) can

be used as a visual indicator.

• You can connect an LED to the

project to provide a visual cue when
the doorbell is activated
Ultrasonic
Sensor:-
• The ultrasonic sensor is the primary
component responsible for
detecting the presence of a person
or an object in front of the sensor.

• It uses ultrasonic waves to measure

the distance between itself and the
object in front of it.
Buzzer:-
The buzzer is an audio output device that
generates sound when triggered.

When the ultrasonic sensor detects

someone or something in front of the
door, it can send a signal to the buzzer to
produce a ringing sound, alerting the
occupants that someone is at the door.
Jumper
wires:-
• Jumper wires are used to connect various
components in the circuit. In the context of
a contactless doorbell system, jumper wires
would be used to connect the ultrasonic
sensor to a microcontroller (such as an
Arduino) or any other control circuit.

• They can also be used to connect the LED

to the same control circuit.

• Jumper wires make it easy to establish

electrical connections between different
components.
Adaptor:-
• An adapter can be used to provide
power to the circuit, especially if
you're using a development board
or microcontroller that requires an
external power source.

• It ensures a stable power supply to

the entire system.
Breadboard:-
• A breadboard is a prototyping
platform that allows you to connect
and test various electronic
components without soldering.
• You can use a breadboard to build and
test your circuit before finalizing the
connections.
• This is particularly useful for making
sure all the components work together
as expected.
Data Cable:-

CONNECT THE DOORBELL TO A
CONTROLLER OR A
MONITORING SYSTEM.

Conclusion

• This project demonstrates the successful integration of an ultrasonic sensor into a distance
measurement and safety alert system. It can find practical applications in scenarios where
proximity alerts are needed, such as in home security, obstacle avoidance for robots, or as part
of a larger automation system.
