The different scales and standards for measuring temperature are:

0 degrees F = Freezing point of Salt/ice
100 degrees F = Body Temperature

 Celsius
0 degrees C = Ice Melts
100 degrees C = Water Boils

 Kelvin Scale
0 K (absolute zero)= -273 degrees C
373 K = 100 degrees C
 Converting C & F Converting C & K
• a change of 1 degree C = a change of 1.8 • The “size” of 1K is the
degree F. same as 1 degree C.
• To convert from C to K just
F = 9/5 C + 32 add 273
C = 5/9 (F- 32)
K = degree C +273
