Immersion and Research
What is an inquiry?
An investigation?
Inquiry – is an act of Investigation – it is a

Inquiries are questions or situations that can be
answered instantly. Investigations are questions
or situations that cannot get instant answers. It
needs further verification and validation from
several people before arriving at valid
conclusions.
What is an
Immersion?
Immersion is a process whereby a researcher
immerses (deeply involves) himself in the data
gathering activities and the data he has
gathered are carefully read or examined by him
in details. Combining the idea of “inquiry” ,
“investigation”, and “immersion”, the concept of
“research” comes in.
