1. Written Work (WW) - ensures that students are


able to express skills and concepts in
written form

 quizzes * seatwork
 unit or long test * assignment

2. Performance Task (PT)– allows learners
to show what they know and are able to do in
diverse ways ; they create or innovate
products or do performance-based tasks
 Skills demonstration

3. Quarterly Assessment (QA) – measures
student learning at the end of the quarter.

How is learner progress recorded and computed?

3. Percentage scores are then converted to Weighted Scores to
show the importance of each component in promoting learning in the
different subjects. The Percentage Score is multiplied by the weight of
the component found in the table below for Grades 1-12. The product
is known as the Weighted Scores (WS).

How are grades computed at the end of
the semester?
• The two quarters determine the Final Grade in a semester. Table 9
shows an example in Grade 11, second semester for the
Accounting, Business and Management (ABM) strand.
How are learners promoted or retained
at the end of the school year?

• Final grade of 75 or higher in all


learning areas allows the student to
be promoted to the next grade
level.
