1. Jerico bought four T-shirts for P375 each and a pair of
pants for ₱894. If he paid it with three-thousand-peso bill,
find how much money Jerico gets back from the cashier?
For t-shirts : ₱ 375.00 x 4 = ₱ 1,500.00
For pants : 894.00 x 1 = ₱ 894.00
Total : ₱ 1,500.00 + ₱ 894.00 = ₱ 2,394.00
Difference : ₱ 3,000.00 – ₱ 2,394.00 = ₱ 606.00
Change: ₱ 606.00
2. Corene bought 2 burgers for P35.00 each and 3
medium French fries for P28.50. How much did Corene
pay for her purchase?

For burger : 35.00 x 2 = ₱ 70.00

For fries : 28.50 x 3 = ₱ 85.50


Total : ₱ 70.00 + ₱ 85.50 = P 155.50
She paid: ₱ 155.50
3. This morning Aling Maria bought 5 kilos of banana. In
order to bake banana cake, she used 3 ¾ kilos of the
bananas. How much does she have left?

8. Andy buys a dozen of notebook that cost ₱ 18.75 each
and pays with ₱500.00. How much change should Andy
get?

Dozen of notebook : ₱ 18.75 x 12 = ₱ 225.00

Difference : ₱ 500.00 – 225.00 = ₱ 275.00

9. Cindy rolled the numbers 4, 5, 2, and 8. What is the
largest decimal number she can make using these digits?

10. Jimmy is five years older than Anthony while Henry is
twice as old as Jimmy. If Anthony is 16 years old, how old
are Jimmy and Henry?

Jimmy: 16 + 5 = 21 y/o

4. There is a 4 in the tenths place. The digit in the
hundredths place is double that of the tenths place. The
digit in the thousandths place is half the amount of the
tenths place and the digit in the ten-thousandths place is 9.

5. John possesses 36 marbles. Peter has only of what John
does. Paul has of Peter’s. In total, how many marbles are
there?

John : 36 marbles
Perter: 3/4 of 36 = 27 marbles

Paul: 2/3 of 27 = 18 marbles


Total : 36 + 27 + 18 = 81 marbles
