an analysis of factors in the context of a planned or


present curriculum project that is made in order to
assess their potential impact on the project.
Purpose

The goal or the purpose of situation analysis


is to identify the key factors that might
positively or negatively affect the
implementation of a curriculum plan.

• Adoption Factors
Societal Factor

Society is part of our life and is a complex thing,


always different in places, so is curriculum always
implemented differently. In analyzing this factor
groups the sub-factors which are ;

Project Factor

Curriculum is a project made by team, completed under


certain constraint of time, resources, personnel, and
condition. In a project, there are possibility of worst case
scenario, to mention ; internal feud, uneven personnel, or
even lack of funding. Those of which you might need to
analyze when concerning the project factor
Institutional
Factor
Curriculum can also be formed in an institution, which
might also be not optimal. You need to concern that
institution creates their own environment, adjusting to what
they need. They also have their own characteristics and
professionalism. This will be causing problems, mentioned
that places have different society and environments.
Teacher
Factor
Teachers are human, they vary in thousands of
characteristics, professionalism, skills and so forth.

must take into account the relative ease of introducing
change into the system. And these are the following

organization and practice within the classroom?
3. Is the innovation very complicated and difficult to understand?
4.How clear and practical is it?
Conclusion

Planning curriculum is a complex process involving many factors.


They might interfere positively and/or negatively. Through situation
analysis, you will might be able to consider the wisest decision
towards existing or future curriculum or to identify cause of
missimplementation in a certain curriculum.
