We have the three

terrestrial planets in our Earth Mars

solar systems. Terrestrial
means that it has made up Venus
of soil and land. We will
check every one of them
from the factors that
make a planet habitable.

Temperature
• Life seems to be limited to a
temperature range of -15°C to
115°C.
• In this range, liquid water can still
exist under certain conditions.
Take note that life exist in a temperature of
15°C to 115°C.

477°C to 523°C 15°C to 33°C -47°C to 10°C

Atmosphere
• Earth’s atmosphere is about
100 miles thick. It keeps the
surface warm & protects it
from radiation & small- to
medium-sized meteorites.

Energy
• With a steady input of either
light or chemical energy, cells
can run the chemical
reactions necessary for life.

• The solar energy from the

sun gives us the right amount
of energy for us to survive.
All of the planet have solar energy but it depends on the
amount of sun rays that reaches the planet
Venus was to near to the sun that’s why it was very hot. the
distance of Venus from the sun is 108.20 million km.
Mars was to far to the Sun that it seems cold the distance of mar
from the sun 228.92 million km.

Earth was at the right distance from the Sun to maintain its
temperature. the distance of earth from the Sun 149.91 million km
Nutrients
• All solid planets & moons have the
same general chemical makeup, so
nutrients are present.
• Those with a water cycle or volcanic
activity can transport and replenish
the chemicals required by living
organisms.
• Like I said in our discussion on the
lithosphere, It gives us the nutrients
that we need in our daily life
In Venus X-ray instruments measured concentrations of
silicon, aluminum, magnesium, iron, calcium,
potassium, titanium, manganese, and sulfur.
Martian soil is toxic, due to relatively high concentrations
of perchlorate compounds containing chlorine. Elemental
chlorine was first discovered during localized investigation
by Mars rover Sojourner, and has been confirmed by Spirit
Opportunity and Curiosity.
Earth provides us the right amount of nutrients and minerals for
out body. Nutrient-rich soil or water contains large amounts of
nitrogen, carbon, phosphorus, sulfur, and potassium. These
nutrients can come from natural sources, like plant and animal
remains. As plants and animals die, they decompose.
Decomposition releases nutrients into the environment.
