Culture of peace education was formulated
in 1989, in view of the necessity of building up a
new vision of peace, through the development
of new culture.

• Justice
• Solidarity
 Relies on the peaceful settlement and
dispute through dialogue

 Dialogue is an important process to achieve


peaceful resolution of conflict.
The Declaration (UN, 1998) state that “ a
culture of peace is a set of values, attitudes,
traditions, modes of behavior and ways of life
that reflect and inspire:

1. Respect for life and for all human rights


By having a sence of inherent dignity
towards other regardless of their backgrounds.
2. Rejection of violence in forms and
prevention of violent conflict
By refusal to respond to and adversary or
conflict situation with violence, instead solving
the problem through dialogue as against the
use of physical force.

every person’s human
dignity.

 Family values- fidelity, unity, love of parents
and children
