USES OF POSTERS

• To create public awareness about any social issue

• To advertise/invite people for an event

GENERAL GUIDELINES:
• The poster should be visually attractive.
• It should contain a catchy title.
• It should contain a sketch or simple visuals to make it look attractive. (The visuals must add
to and not detract from the message.)
• It must have different fonts in different shapes and sizes.
• The poster must use bold, capital letters, striking designs.
• Catchy phrases and slogans are the lifelines of posters.
• Arrange content in a pleasing, readable way. The wordings of the poster should be
appealing.
• Full sentences should not be used.
• Name of the issuing authority/ organizer must be mentioned in the end.
• Must be in a box.
• Use a full page and fit it on one page only
• Avoid using abbreviations, slang and Hindi slogans
