TECHNOLOGY FOR TEACHING AND LEARNING 1
This course is designed for prospective teachers to
develop and use digital and non digital teaching -
learning resources using technology tools appropriate
in various subject areas in the elementary and high
school level. Further, the course will provide
opportunities for students to use technology tools to
develop project-based collaborative activities and share
re among communities of practice. sources
Technology is transforming
education, changing how, when and
where students learn, and
empowering them at every stage of
their journey.
The use of technology can mean that learning
is no longer confined to the traditional time
and setting of the classroom. In this way, it
opens up the learning environment to
‘anytime, anywhere’–and at a pace that is
comfortable for the students as well.
One of the advantages of digital tools is
that they can make some things more
accessible; anytime, anywhere access to
information, past work, groups, experts,
and more is not the only benefit of
technology.
The resources and materials have
more of an opportunity to stay up-to-
date, and there are many so choices
that each student can find something
that is relevant to them.
Technology provides students with access to
countless online resources, encouraging them
to carry out research and therefore become
more independent. It also simplifies learning
by making concepts more digestible, for
example through an instructional video.
Technology helps education in many ways,
including utilizing:
1. Digital Simulations And Models.
2. Online learning.
3. Improved communication.
4. Vast information resources.
5. Better assignments.
6. Self-paced learning.
7. More Fun Learning.
8. Online collaboration
