There’s been a lot of buzz surrounding
green cleaning in recent years, with
many companies claiming they are
“going green.” And let’s face it: when
most people hear the words “all-
natural,” “organic” and “green” they
simply translate that to “better for the
environment.”

Cucumber
 Malic Acid, an alpha hydroxy fruit acid, can be used in
combination with germicidal compounds (e.g. in in soaps,
mouthwashes, and toothpaste.
 It can remove stains from furniture and walls, and
tarnishes from kitchenware and other cooking appliances.

Banana
 Banana peels can be used for household cleaning, including polishing and
brighten houseplant leaves, leather shoes and silverware. It works because the
peel contains salicylic acid.
 Salicylic Acid is a natural astringent; citric acid, which is a gentle bleaching
agent; and a combination of manganese, magnesium, and potassium, all of
which safely remove stains without damaging the area.

Aloe Vera
 Composed of Salicylic Acid.
 The leaves of an aloe vera plant that are packed with a soft clear
gel can also be used in removing stains (e.g. fabrics, clothes).

White Vinegar
 Acetic acid is a byproduct of fermentation and gives vinegar its
characteristic odor.
 White vinegar or acetic acid cuts through grease and mildew,
freshens, lifts certain stains, and clears wax build ups.

Citric Acid Disinfectant
 Citric acid is naturally concentrated in a variety of fruits and vegetables,
particularly lemons and limes.
 For agricultural use as a terminal disinfectant to provide protection
against the spread of virus.
 For housekeeping use Citric Acid Disinfectant will gently remove hard
water stains and mineral deposits from shower doors, sinks and toilets.
