DEFINITION OF NEWS ITEM

 News item is a text which informs readers about events of the day. The
events are considered newsworthy or important. It means if there is an
important event that should be known by many people, then this event
deserves news.
STRUCTURE OF NEWS ITEM
 1. Main event/Newsworthy events
main event is a paragraph that contains a summary of an event, aka an
important event that is a highlight to be conveyed to the reader.
 2. Elaboration/Background Event
the contents must include 5W + 1H (what, where, when, who, why) and how.
 3. Resource of Information (Source)
source, yaitu bagian yang berisi tentang pendapat para ahli atau saksi mata.
Selain itu, bisa juga berupa komentar dari berbagai pihak lain yang terlibat.
