THEORY
The Stage-Environment Fit Theory (Eccles et al., 1993)
provides an applicable framework as it emphasizes aligning
students' developmental stage with the educational
environment. Quantifying 12th graders' college readiness
across strands will determine fit with impending college
expectations. Readiness measurement can identify areas of
alignment versus misfit needing intervention to enable
smooth transition. The theory highlights the value of
assessing multidimensional readiness to inform solutions that
improve developmental-environmental fit.

This study will assess the college readiness of the students. Specific
questions that the researcher aim to answers are the following:

1. How does Laureano Salusod National High School Grade 12 students'

college readiness vary across different strands?

2. Are there significant differences in college readiness between male and

female Grade 12 students at Laureano Salusod National High School, across
all strands?

3. To what extent do the current curriculum and teaching methods address

the college readiness needs of Grade 12 students at Laureano Salusod
National High School?
Significance of the Study

• Several stakeholders can benefit from the

research study on college readiness among
Laureano Salusod National High School grade 12
students, including:
• Educators and School Administrators.
• College and University Admissions Offices.
• Teachers
• Students and Parents.
• Future Researchers and Students
METHOD AND TECHNIQUE USED

This study utilizes a descriptive-correlational quantitative research design.

Quantitative research was chosen as it allows the collection of numerical data that
can be analyzed statistically to quantify college readiness. The descriptive design
was selected to characterize the current level of college readiness of the
participants across the different learning strands.
Simple Percentage

the student's level of college readiness ,it will be analyzed using the
simple percentage with the following formula.
F
P= (100)
N

P- Percentage
F= Frequency of each category
N= atotal number of Respondents

POPULATION, SAMPLE AND SAMPLING METHOD

The participants of this study are the Grade 12 students of Laureano

Salusod National High School for the current school year 2022-2023. The
entire Grade 12 population of the school was included, comprising of 120
students. This allowed a comprehensive quantification of college readiness
for the batch.

Out of 209 Grade 12 students , there will be 30 Respondents.

This research use the Stratified sampling.

INSTRUMENT USED
The researcher coordinated with the school
administration to schedule the conduct of the college
readiness test. The test was administered during
class hours and was allotted
30 minutes to complete. Proper orientation was
provided to the students before starting the test. The
responses were inputted and encoded in a
spreadsheet for analysis.
