Proposed Research Title:
Relationship Between Social Media Usage in the Academic Performance of Grade 10
Students in Oslob National High School
Research Problem (What is your research problem?):
This study aims to determine the relationship of social media usage and academic
performance. Teenagers of Oslob National High School now are more involved with social
media which is why the researchers desires to conduct a study concerning the said matter.
This study is to be conducted in the school year 2022-2023, with the grade 10 students of
Oslob National High School as the respondents.
Rationale of the Study (Why do you want to conduct this study?):
With the challenges awaiting the grade 10 students of Oslob National High School,
their social media usage have already made a certain relationship on their academic
performances. Most of the students experienced going to school tired because sleeping late
became a routine as the use of social media has constantly been practiced. In this recent
times, by the enhancement of technology, social media platforms like Facebook have
created a major influence to students, teachers and even to the educational administrations
way of functioning in the educational system, and is why the researchers are interested in
conducting the study.
Significance of the Study (Why is it important to be conducted?):
In conducting this study there are various importance, this includes the ambition to
fulfill the study, to be able to determine the nature and relationship of social media usage to
the academic performance of grade 10 students, and how students may able to handle
those facts to improve themselves and their academic performance.
Objective (What is your goal to achieve this study?):
Almost every student in the campus has experienced this occurring issue. This constant
specific practice of overusing social media can leave major problems and results to the
students academic performances and to their health. Through this conducted study, readers
can take out guides to fully manage their selves in spending time on social media and be the
responsible student that they should be. And to the future researchers who may use this
study as a reference for their own study.

RESEARCH TITLE PROPOSAL

Proposed Research Title:
The Effect of Parental Pressure in the Academic Competency of Grade 11 (HUMSS) Students
in Oslob National High School
Research Problem (What is your research problem?):
The study intents to know the effects of parental pressure to the academic
competency of the students. Many of the students in the campus struggled with this very
timely problem that even researchers themselves have been through in the same situation,
and is why the researchers are immersed in this matter. The research will be studying the
Grade 11 Humanities and Social Sciences of Oslob National High School in the school year
2022-2023.
Rationale of the Study (Why do you want to conduct this study?):
Constant parental pressure creates a certain attitude towards the students. It might
develop either bad or positive consequences to the students mental and emotional well-
being, which then understandably affects their academic competency. Students undergoing
this situation are continuing to live up with their parents standards and expectations
everyday that some of them leads to neglect their own likes and wants, as they are too
focus in earning their parents validation. Researchers are in the likes of conducting the study
as they have experienced and heard of this particular situation happening in the campus.
Significance of the Study (Why is it important to be conducted?):
By conducting this study, researchers can expand their learning and understanding
on how parental pressure will affect the students academic competency. This will expose
them to the facts about the issue, and how the affected students are handling the situation.
Researchers may look for various ways to overcome the situation after conducting the study
that might be helpful not just for them but also for the masses. It will also fill in the
researchers interest and challenge them during the process in carrying out the study.
Objective (What is your goal to achieve this study?):
Parental involvement is a critical factor in the success of children's education, when
expressed in the positive way. This study will contain the reactions of the respondents on
how this particular problem affects their academic capacity,which may affect them in a good
or bad way. The facts containing this study will help give awareness to parents on how to
rightfully show active involvement in their children's education.

Relationship Between Time Management Skills to the Academic Performance of Grade 12
Students in Oslob National High School
Research Problem (What is your research problem?):
This study desires to recognize the relationship of time management skills and
academic performance. The researchers want to conduct a study concerning the said
matters as a grade 12 students themselves in this semester, they would pretty much relate
to this concerns and has encountered the same situation in their academic journey as a
student. This study is to be conducted in the school year 2022-2023 with the grade 12
students of Oslob National High School as the research's respondents.
Rationale of the Study (Why do you want to conduct this study?):
Taking up the second semester for the Grade 12 students of Oslob National High
School is not an easy step to be taken lightly. Their time management skills are very much
needed for them to be able to endure the semester, and for them to acquire their desired
grades after all the hard work. Researchers are absorbed in conducting the study as it is
applicable to their experiences as learners and is also timely and relevant.
Significance of the Study (Why is it important to be conducted?):
The importance of the study is for the researchers to determine the relationship
between time management skills of grade 12 students in Oslob National High School, to
their academic performance. In conducting this research, researchers will be able to fill in
the gaps and will contribute in improving the students academic productivity in the campus.
Objective (What is your goal to achieve this study?):
 The main goal of this study is to find the relationship of the grade 12 students time
management skills to their academic performance. This research will help students to
provide ways in structuring, and controlling their activities and performances going on. Time
management is associated with greater academic performance, lower levels of anxiety in
students, and which is why the researchers are interested in conducting this study, to help
students on focusing on their study to get higher grades.
