BEBE VIO’S CHILDHOOD
Beatrice Maria Adelaide Marzia Vio was born in Venice on March 4, 1997 under the zodiac sign of Pisces, but she
spend her childhood in Mogliano Veneto, she is the second of three brothers. Bebe's family is made up of her
mom Teresa, her dad Ruggero, her older brother Nicolò, her younger sister Maria Sole and a chocolate-colored
cocker named Taxi. She lived a peaceful childhood, her 3 greatest passions when she was a child school, fencing
and scouting (since the age of five), a sport that soon turns into a great passion.

HER LIFE FROM 11 YEARS TO TODAY
At the age of 11 she contracted a fulminant meningitis witch caused an amputation of
her legs and arms. After a forced stop due to the disease, she resumed fencing in the
wheelchair version in 2010. In 2011, she joined the National Paralympic fencing team.
Since 2014, she has won all the major world competitions: European Championships,
World Championships, Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, and Tokyo 2020 Paralympic
Games and she also won the World Cup. In all of these years she has won:
-54 GOLD MEDALS
-10 SILVER MEDALS
-7 BRONZE MEDALS
BEBE VIO AT THE EUROPEAN PARLAMENT
Bebe vio was also invited to the European parlament in Salisbour by the president
of the european commission Ursula Von Der Leyen. The president praised Bebe
Vio as "a leader, an image of her generation, from which to draw inspiration for
her determination."
BEBE VIO ACADEMY
The Bebe Vio Academy is a project by Bebe in partnership with Nike; it is
organized and managed by the Association art4sport ONLUS. It an program that
aims to promote Paralympic sport and is focused on Bebe’s vision, make sport
accessible to all. Registration is open to children and people aged 6 to 18. Those
who inscribe in the academy will be able to practice 5 different sports:
wheelchair fencing, sitting volleyball, wheelchair basketball, Paralympic athletics
and football .The Academy’s first season will take place between October 2021
and June 2022.
