What are Perfect tenses describe actions that


happened in the past, present, or future
Perfect and indicate that they are complete or
ongoing.
Tenses?

They are formed using have/has/had +


past participle of the verb.

She has eaten, I had finished my work,


They will have danced for two hours.

Present Perfect Tense

• Usage :

Describes past events that have present relevance or ongoing


actions from the past that continue into the present.
• Structure :

Subject + has/have + past participle of the verb.


• Examples :

She has celebrated her birthday, They have been here for two
weeks, He has lost his wallet.

Past Perfect Tense

• Usage:
Describes an action that was completed before another action in the
past.
• Structure:
Subject + had + past participle of the verb.
• Examples:
He had left before I arrived, She had finished her work by the time
we got there, They had already eaten when I joined them.

• Usage :
Describes an action that will be completed before a specific point in
the future.
• Structure :
Subject + will have + past participle of the verb.
• Examples :
I will have graduated by next year, He will have finished his book by
the end of this month, They will have travelled around the world by
2030.

Active Voice :

Passive Voice:
