STAFF QUARTERS
• Form work is used to form concrete into structural shapes like beams, columns,
slabs for building.
SLABS
• A slab is a structural element, made of concrete, that is used to create flat
horizontal surfaces such as floors, ceilings.
• The thickness of slab in this construction is 150 mm.
• 10 mm dia bars is used as both main bars and distribution bars.
•The spacing between main bars is 220 mm.
• The spacing between distribution bars is also 220 mm.
• The grade of concrete is used in this execution of work is M25.
BRICKWORK
• Masonry work in CM (1:4) prop with Flyash Cement solid blocks of size 230x 110
x70 mm.
• Compressive strength of this brick is 40 Kg/Sq.cm.
• Flemish bond is used in the execution of work.
PLASTERING
• Plastering is the process of covering rough walls and uneven surfaces in the
construction of houses and other structures with a plastic material called
plaster, which is a mixture of lime or cement concrete and sand along with
the required quantity of water
• Plastering with 12mm thick in two coats is provided for inner walls.
• The first coat is 1:6 proportion cement mortar with 8mm thickness.
• The second coat is 1:4 proportion cement mortar with 4mm thickness.
• Plastering with 20 mm thick in two coats is provided for outer walls.
• The first coat is 1:6 proportion cement mortar with 16mm thickness.
• The second coat is 1:4 proportion cement mortar with 4mm thickness.
CURING
• Curing is also called as watering.
• It develop the potential strength and durability of concrete will be fully
developed only if concrete is properly cured.
• The curing is done for a period of 28 days for slabs, columns and
beams,
• and 7 to 14 days for brick masonry and plastered walls.
Conclusion
From this training period I got the experience practically in working site
and the implentation of theoretical knowledge in working site.
