INTRESECTION EVOLUTION
30/10/2023 OF A NEW PERSPECTIVE OF INNOVATIVE ROAD DESIGN 2
Introduction

Another objective of sustainable urban design is to create innovative road

intersections that prioritize pedestrian and cyclist safety while reducing traffic
congestion and emissions.
This can be achieved through the use of roundabouts,
pedestrian islands, and protected bike lanes. Roundabouts are circular
intersections that require vehicles to slow down and yield to traffic before
entering.
Protected bike lanes are dedicated lanes for cyclists that
are separated from vehicle traffic by physical barriers such as curbs or
bollards.
Innovative road intersections can also incorporate
green infrastructure such as rain gardens and bioswales to manage stormwater
runoff and improve air quality.

OF A NEW PERSPECTIVE OF INNOVATIVE ROAD DESIGN
Objectives

• To collect the vehicle data that are moving in the area which is recognized.
• To design a proper and efficient intersection which takes care of safety of the pedestal
and vehicle.
