SITE VISIT
Introduction
The aim to go on construction site visit was to make us
aware of practical and field aspects of construction techniques.
The site named as “Kekarav Project” situated at Bavdhan
hills taken as a site for visit with the reason of having ongoing
work of pavement and retaining wall construction for land
development. The attempt was made to correlate theoretical
aspects of construction techniques and detailing of various
construction elements with the practical concept that is usually
applied on the field.

growing area of Bhugaon & Bhukum. This western gateway also
leads to Hinjewadi, the IT economic centre, and thus you can
imagine the state of traffic at this junction at peak hours. As if this
was not enough, the Chandni Chowk junction is located exactly at
the crest of hills, and slopes down in three directions – towards
Kothurd, towards Bhugaon and towards Pashan.
