2. Deflection is the perpendicular distance a spanning member deviates from a true course
under transverse loading, increasing with load and span, and decreasing with an increase
in the moment of inertia (inactivity) of section of the modulus of elasticity of the material.

Site plan: This type of location drawing is used to enable;

Identification of parts of the site such as roads, footpaths, and boundaries,
Appropriate setting out dimensions of for the site and the building being
situated upon such site
These drawings are usually drawn to a scale not less than 1:2 500.

9. Multifamily construction: multiple single family homes on several floors on a


particular site. Due to the multi-occupancy nature of these buildings, the use of
special design and construction approaches become imperative such as fire
safety and ventilation, acoustical privacy.

all of the site, activity or project specific documented plan in accordance with
the Client’s health and safety specifications.

11. What is an occupational hazard?


A hazard is something that can cause harm if not controlled. The outcome is the
harm that results from an uncontrolled hazard. A risk is a combination of the
probability that a particular outcome will occur and the severity of the harm
involved. Hazard”, “risk”, and “outcome” are used in other fields to describe
e.g. environmental damage, or damage to equipment.
