WHO WAS ISAAC NEWTON

He was born in December 25, 1642, in Woolsthorpe, Lincolnshire, England,


he is the greatest of English astronomers; He also stood out as a great
physicist and mathematician.
He studied at Cambridge University 1661 and culminated 1665

His parents were Isaac Newton and Hannah Ayscough, two Puritan peasants.
He did not get to know his father, having died in October 1642.
WHO WAS ISAAC NEWTON

In addition to studying mathematics, physics and astronomy, Newton was


also interested in alchemy, mysticism and theology.

Newton died in London on March 31, 1727 at the age of 84, the cause was
numerous kidney problems that ended up causing his death.

NEWTON’S CONTRIBUTIONS
Famous for the universal law of gravitation, he also enunciated
the laws of motion. Among other contributions, Newton
described optical phenomena such as the nature and color of
bodies.
NEWTON’S FIRST DISCOVERY

Newton's first law or law of inertia. This law


tells us that "Every body preserves its state of
rest or uniform and rectilinear motion unless
it is forced to change its state by forces
impressed on it"
