-Using discipline is to teach
students boundaries and
limits to help students
achieve personal and

-Are the disciplinary actions that are
intended to teach students to make
better behaviour choices rather than to
punish them. There are 3 major
categories of logical consequences: You
break it you fix it, losing privileges and
positive time out.

1. You break it, you fix it. Used in situations when
something has been broken or a mess has
been made. Whether accidentally or
intentionally.
2. Loss of privilege. Used when children's
behavior does not meet pre-established
expectations.
3. Positive time out. Used when a teacher
believes that a child needs a way to calm
down and recover self-control.

Importance of
discipline
Discipline impacts the learning process by
creating a stress-free environment for dividing
time to various activities, improves planning
through observing and maintaining a set daily
routine, moulds learner character and
enhances their motivation, enables the setting
of good examples and positively contributes to
better grades.
