• Making the letter heavy or thick when

pronouncing it. ‫َر ُر‬
Lightness (Tarqeeq)
Making the letter light or soft when
pronouncing it. ‫ِر‬
Heaviness (Takhfeem)
• First: Heaviness (Tafkheem): the Raa should be pronounced heavy while reciting in the
following events:
• R’aa that has fat'hai
• ‫َر بك‬
• R’aa that has dhamma
• ‫الكاِفُرون‬
• Raa with sukoon that follows a letter that has fat' ha or dhamma, as in the following
examples:
• ‫َم ْر َيم‬
Lightness (Tarqeeq)
• Second: Lightness (Tarqeeq): the R’aa should be pronounced light in
the following events:
• R’aa that has kasra
• ‫ِرَج اال‬
• R’aa with sukoon that follows a letter that has kasra
• ‫ِفْر َد وس‬
