What job I will apply to ?
- Tacker, fabricator, welder, plate fitter, pipe
welder, pipe fitter, Combination welder
Where do you want to work ?
- Local, abroad or start a business
WELDING IS APPLIED TO:
Space exploration, industrial
machines,
Amusements, air-conditioning,
mining
Heavy equipment, manufacturing,
 Construction (steel window, grills, railings,
perimeter fence, trusses, steel doors, stairs
etc)
 Pipelines –offshore/onshore,

HOW TO PRACTICE 5’S
Seiri Sort Suriin – all unneeded tools, parts and supplies are
removed from the area
Step 1 Look around your workplace with your co-worker,
discover and identify items which are unnecessary to your work
and dispose it
Step 2 If you and your co-worker cannot decide if an unnecessary
item is necessary or not, put a disposal notice with the date on
the item and set it aside for safekeeping for a certain period.
5S Examples - Sort, Set in Order

See the difference?

Step 3 After a certain period, check if someone needed
the item or not. Then decide what to dispose.
“ you must not forget to sort inside drawers,
lockers and cabinets”

Seiton Set-up Sinupin – a place for everything and

everything in its place
Step 1 Make sure all unnecessary items from your
workplace has its own place.
Step 2 Decide where to put things, taking into consideration the
point of view of efficient operation “put most frequently needed
items closer to the user so as to minimize the movement of
the person”

Step 3 Make sure that everybody in the workplace know what and
where the items are kept. It is preferred to make a list of items
with their respective locations, and label each drawer to show
what is kept inside.

“The objective of SEITON is to make a safe and efficient workplace

Seiso Sweep Simutin – the area is cleaned as the work is
performed
Step 1 Clean your workplace regularly
Step 2 Establish cleaning responsibilities
Step 3 Never throw anything and make it your habit
Step 4 Check while cleaning
Seiketsu Sanitize Siguraduhin – cleaning and identification
methods are consistently applied
Step 1 Create housekeeping maintenance
Step 2 Promote housekeeping competition

- 5S is a habit and continually improved. Work area are safe
and free from hazards and dangerous conditions.
Step 1 Treat your workplace as your (own) second home
Step 2 You are spending more of your waking time at your
workplace than at home
Step 3 The workplace is where you derive your income for
your family
