media formats that convey information.
• This is often found in print media

• During our topics on the 21st century literature, we discussed 2 classifications of
books and stories, specifically;

• FICTION – which is defined as imagined


or not true
• NON-FICTION – which is defined as
facts, or reality
CLASSIFICATIONS
Text information can not only be classified as fiction and non-fiction, but also
according to genres;

Genres – specific style/theme of a certain work

Examples:
-comedy -science fiction
-drama -historical
-thriller -biography
-horror -inspirational
-romance -religious
HOW IS IT PRODUCED?

1. The writer choses a topic that he would like to write about.


2. The writer gathers information about the topic.
3. The writer makes an outline on the topic and writes a draft.
4. The writer reviews the draft and develops it into a full text.
5. The writer submits the article to the editor/publisher.
