1. To create a simple chart from scratch in PowerPoint, click Insert > Chart and pick the
chart you want.
2. Click the chart type and then double-click the chart you want.

Link a section of data in Excel to PowerPoint
1.In Excel, open the saved workbook with the data you want to insert and link to.
2.Drag over the area of data you want to link to in PowerPoint, and on the Home tab,
click or tap Copy.
3.In PowerPoint, click the slide where you want to paste the copied worksheet data.
4.On the Home tab, click the arrow below Paste, and select Paste Special.
5. In the Paste Special box, click Paste link, and then, under As, select Microsoft Excel Worksheet Object.

Video formats that work with PowerPoint include: .avi, .mpg, and .mpeg. QuickTime
(.mov) and RealVideo (.ram or .rv) will not work directly in PowerPoint, and will need to
be converted or hyperlinked.
Additionally, PowerPoint will support HD formats, which include .mov and .mp4 videos
with H.264 video and AAC audio encoding.
