Dig Assist Project Reference

Project Reference
Examples

• A project reference is a defined point

with a defined reference height used for
the on-site construction

• Measurements, alignment and

calculations can be made based on this
site reference point

• The given magnitude of a site reference

point can be based on different values,
e.g. height above sea level, or just 0,00.

Dig Assist Project Reference

Projects and Tasks
Projects

• Adding a project reference is only

possible when a correction stream is
available

Dig Assist Project Reference

Projects and Tasks
New reference point

• Possible to use touch point or laser for

reference

Dig Assist Project Reference

Project Reference
Example 1

• Man hole cover is reference for work

side with height +0,00m

Dig Assist Project Reference

Example 1

The tooth of the excavator is

0.00m above the reference.

Dig Assist Project Reference

Project Reference
Example 2

• Man hole cover is reference for work

side with height +21,50m above sea
level

Dig Assist Project Reference

Example 2

The tooth of the excavator is

21.50m above the reference.

21,50m

Project Reference
Check and Replace Reference

• Live Guidance shows the distance from

the selected bucket tooth to the
reference point

• Coordinates shows the coordinate of the

reference point and the bucket tooth

• By pressing “Replace” the actual bucket

position will become the new reference
point.

• UTM: Universal Transverse Mercator

Dig Assist Project Reference

Project Reference
Project with site reference

• When name and global reference are

ready, press save to enter a task for your
project

Dig Assist Project Reference

Project Reference
Create Task

• Button for project reference is just

visible when a global reference was
assigned to the project

Slope
Slope

• Only with touchpoint method!

Dig Assist Project Reference

Slope
Example

1. The Slope shall follow a certain line.

The line must be stacked out in the
field

2. The height of the slope is given
2 according to the project reference

Option 1

• Height of point No. 1 was defined as

0.00m

Dig Assist Project Reference

In-Field Design
Option 1

• The 0.0 layer of the design is on height

of the project reference after positioning

Dig Assist Project Reference

In-Field Design
Option 1

• An additional offset layer is needed to

get the correct height of the target level

Dig Assist Project Reference

In-Field Design
Option 2

• Height of point No. 1 was defined with

height of the target level

Dig Assist Project Reference

In-Field Design
Option 2

• The 0.0 layer of the design is directly in

height of the target level

Position Design

• The height indicator shows height

between project reference and bucket
tooth
