PRESENT PERFECT VERSUS
PRESENT PERFECT
PROGRESSIVE
 We use present perfect to talk about unfinished actions.
Meanwhile, present perfect progressive is used to talk
about actions that have been occuring for a certain period
of time.

PROGRESSIVE
1. Lorena has been cooking dinner for 2 hours now.
2. Edwin, Darvin and Ricardo have been studying english for years.
3. Paola and Olga have not been sleeping well lately.
4. Lucia and Lisbeth have not been studying for the exam.
5. Have Noemi and Yandel been working on the assignment this
week?
6. Christopher and Amelia have been talking on the phone for hours.
RULES BEFORE ING
1. If the verb ends in E you must DROP IT (Drive - Driving)

2. If there is a vowel between two consonants at the end you must


DOUBLE the last consonant (shop - shopping)
