OBJECTIVE 15
SLAC SESSION ON PPST YEAR 2 IMPLEMANTATION
September 15, 2023

MEANS OF VERIFICATIONS
The Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST) and its
yearly updates show that the Department of Education is serious
about helping teachers like me grow. It's not just a rule; it's a real
recognition of how important teachers are in shaping the future
through good education.

Learning new things and getting better at our jobs is not just
something we have to do; it's a big part of being a teacher.
Sessions like the School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) help us
understand what's new in education, discover cool ways to teach,
and improve our skills to help our students better.

PPST gives us a plan for getting better at our jobs. It's like a map
that helps us create lessons that match the rules and help our
students learn in the best way. This session helped me look at my
teaching level. It's like looking in a mirror to see what I'm good at
and what I need to work on. This helps me set goals to get better.

Getting better as a teacher is not just about following rules; it's

about making a place where I feel supported and excited to teach.
By taking part in these programs, I'm not just helping make
education better for everyone; I'm also finding new ideas to be a
good teacher. Education is not just about books and classrooms;
it's about making students smart, curious, and ready for
whatever comes their way.
SLAC SESSION ON CURRICULUM STANDARDS AND
STRATEGIES ON MAKING CURRICULUM RELEVANT
December 1, 2023

MEANS OF VERIFICATIONS
I Feel:
Curriculum Standards changed how I teach. It used to be like checking things off a list,
but now it feels like I have a map to make lessons interesting for my students. It's more
than just following rules; it's about telling stories that connect with my students' lives.
Adding real examples, different views, and current events makes lessons more
interesting, not just something we have to do.

I Learned:
Teaching is not just about following rules; it's about doing projects that solve real
problems. Individualized or grouped performance tasks and seeing students work their
very best make me happy. They learned and so am I by thinking hard and learning new
skills that I can use inside and outside of the four corner walls give me sense of
contentment. I also realized how important technology is, so I use it to make learning
fun and teach digital skills.

Personalizing lessons for different ways students learn works well but it’s not easy.
Making the curriculum fit each student's way of learning helps them feel like what
they're learning matters to them. Looking back, I know making the curriculum fit
today's world is never ending. Keeping up with what my students need, how technology
is changing, and what's happening in the world is important. It's not just about
teaching facts; it's about giving students the skills and knowledge they need for a world
that's always changing.

I Plan:
In the future, I plan to keep making my lessons interesting. I want to know what my
students need, use new technologies, and bring real-world examples into lessons. This
way, I can make learning better for my students and help them think and apply what
they learn in every circumstances they ,ay face in the future. Teaching is not just
following rules; it's about getting students ready for a future where they need more
than just memorizing – they need to think and use what they learn in important ways.
