SCENARIO

Mr Dharma is a parent who works in the security industry and is employed as a

watchman in a rural area. Mr. Dharma is not aware about the ed-tech space. Child has
a medium engagement level with the BYJU'S Learning App. He goes to a
government school and is studying in 10th Grade. Scored 50% in previous grade.
Based on the above info, Write a Calling Pitch to book a home counselling session
with Mr. Dharma.

Hello sir this is Aditya calling from Byju's the learning application. Am I talking to (child's name: Rahul) father?

Sir, your son/Daughter have downloaded the Byju's application using the following e-mail id abc@gmail.com and
mobile number 1234567890. Is it you who has downloaded the application or is it your daughter/son who has
downloaded the application?

Greet them back like really happy to hear that your son daughter has downloaded the application only few
students take their own step towards the academics it’s really happy to see Rahul in that category [or]
 If parent downloaded say them really happy to hear that you have downloaded the application. Once App is being
downloaded or re-registered, we will be appointing a personal teacher for each and every student and once they reach the
certain score we will be shortlisting for an Academic guidance and Career Development Program and now Rahul is
shortlisted for career development program

Do you know anything about byjus? If Yes/No - Tell them Byju's is a video streaming Learning application where they
teach subjects like mathematics and science from classes 1st std. to 12th std.

When a child studies through videos and in maths they explain how formula derived first then only approach to sum is
taught and in science everything will be in a visual 3d animation so that they can relate to day today life and understand
the concepts.

Coming to the guidance session it will be of 30-45 min and coming to the session

Phase 1: If the child is facing problem in any particular subject or topic, he/she can discuss about it with the counsellor so
that the counsellor is able to guide the child in understanding the ways to grasp concepts and visualizing the diagram
related topics. Also, the counsellor briefs the parents on general issues faced by the students (age and academic issues).
Phase 2: Counsellor will be having one on one interaction with the child where in some basic’s questions will be asked to
check the logical reasoning skills as well as the subjective knowledge in order to analyse the weakness & strength of the
student.
The counsellor will suggest a study pattern for the student so that he/she is able to understand the concepts and complete
the syllabus on time.
Example: Suppose If student is Average or 70% in academics, we will be identifying the mistakes that he had made and
will be guiding him to correct the mistake. So that he can improve main reason behind that is student can improve only if
he corrects the mistake by himself.

Phase 3: As parents if you feel that your ward is facing some other academic issues (i.e., lack of focus, disinterest in a
subject/topic, etc.), you can discuss about it with the counsellor. He will suggest you with some tricks/tips to motivate the
child in building a habit of self-learning and in making him/her independent when it comes to academics.
