 CARPATHIAN NATIONAL NATURE PARK

• The park is located on the northeastern slope of the Ukrainian

Carpathians and covers an area of ​50.3 thousand hectares. Its length from
north to south - 55 km and from west to east - 20 km. After visiting the
park, you can visit at different heights above sea level, therefore, in
different thermal zones: temperate (450-850 m), cool (850-1200 m),
moderate cold (1200-1500), cold (1500-2061 m) ). Every visitor will be
amazed by the diversity of the animal world, as 185 species of animals live
here. Also, an excursion to the Carpathian National Natural Park will not
do without getting acquainted with the birds, which in the park a huge

 HOLY MOUNTAINS NATIONAL PARK

• It is located in the northern part of the Donetsk region of Ukraine, in

Slovyansk (11957 ha), Krasnolimansky (27665 ha) and Artemivsk
districts. In the park there are Cretaceous mountains, which have
preserved rare plants of antiquity, such as Cretaceous pine, preserved
from the pre-glacial period. The heart of the national park is the Holy
Dormition Svyatogorsk Lavra, whose history dates back centuries.
One of the existing versions connects the origin of the monastery
with the Byzantine monks who fled from the persecution of imperial
power during the iconoclastic heresy. Location: Donetsk region
 SHATSK NATIONAL NATURE PARK

• The most famous national nature park north of the country. Its
territory (489.77 km), bordering Poland (west) and Belarus (north), is
located on a flat surface between the rivers Pripyat and Western Bug.
There are 22 lakes in the park, occupying one-fifth of the total area.
An iconic natural monument is Lake Svityaz - the deepest (54 m) lake
in the country, which is characterized by clean, clear water and

 MEZYN NATIONAL NATURE PARK

• This is Switzerland, only in Chernihiv region. The park covers an area

of ​31.5 thousand hectares. In its territory you can see 149 species of
vertebrates: 25 species of fish, 9 - amphibians, 3 - reptiles, 93 - birds
and 19 - mammals. 24 species of animals are protected by the Red
